What you'll be doing As a Senior Production Operative at Greencore your role will be working across three key areas of People, Safety and Operations. Most importantly you'll be the point of contact for a team of colleagues, meeting and greeting them on arrival and departure and ensuring that they are equipped to succeed. You'll coordinate colleagues so they can rotate across different tasks and give feedback to colleagues on task performance and adherence to operational standards to build their skills and confidence to play a key part of the team. You'll be a great talent spotter, supporting the development across your team and will be the person your team looks to for guidance and support. Staffline is recruiting Production Operatives - Tipping and Packing to work for a leading fruit and vegetable production site in Peterborough. This is a modern site with brand-new facilities, clean changing rooms, and plenty of opportunities for progression. The rates of pay are: - Days £12.21 per hour - Nights £12.51 per hour Overtime is available and paid at: - Days £15.26 per hour - Nights £15.64 per hour You will be working 12-hour shifts, the hours of work are: - Days - 6am to 6pm 4 days on and 4 days off. - Nights - 6pm to 6am- Sunday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Friday Transport is provided from Peterborough at 4 different locations for £8 per day to take you there and back. Your Time at Work As a Tipping and Packing Production Operative, your duties include: - Packing fruit and vegetables (Grapes, Citrus, Melons, Pineapples, Courgettes etc.) - Stacking products onto pallets up to dispatch height - Tipping raw produce from bulk boxes onto the production line - This role involves regular manual handling and heavy lifting. - These products can weigh up to 25kg. - Manual handling duties are a key part of this role. - You will be standing for extended period Our Perfect Worker Our ideal Production Operative has a good eye for detail and is comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment. You must be able to work 12-hour shifts and understand that manual handling and heavy lifting are involved in this role. You will be happy working in a fast-paced environment, standing and lifting throughout the shift. No previous experience is necessary as a Production Operative/Warehouse Operative, as full training will be provided.
