Insight Investment is looking for Security Architect to join the Data Platform team in Manchester. The role will focus on designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the security of our Snowflake-based data platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role has been created to strengthen security-by-design principles throughout the platform's development and delivery processes. Extensive experience in C++, Java, experience with AWS cloud platform, particularly serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway), containerisation (ECS, ECR) and CDK. Proficient in Bitbucket and building CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment. Skilled in building and integrating RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using tools like Kafka. Competence in working with relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL. Strong focus on automated testing (unit, integration, UI) using frameworks such as JUnit, Jest, Selenium, Cucumber Studio, and Allure. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. We are hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to work on cutting edge R&D and translating research into customer centric solutions. Our Modelling Team trains diverse models, including large self supervised ones, supporting Speechmatics towards being the most accurate speech recognition system globally. It also ensures their deployment into production, working with the latest developments in ML, but also with the best engineering practices for software engineering and model serving. This is a hands on, technical leadership role with high ownership. You will develop and deploy advanced speech systems that power our products as well as co define the technical vision for ML, drive innovation, and mentor engineering teams. Your work will span the entire codebase.
