We are seeking an exceptional Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in shaping high quality teaching, learning and inclusion for our pupils-many of whom have complex needs, including autism, communication differences and social, emotional or developmental challenges. Key Responsibilities As a Primary Teacher at Mountfield Heath School, you will: Deliver high quality, engaging teaching across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity, progression and meaningful learning for all pupils. Champion inclusive practice and contribute to the ongoing development of our SEN provision, working closely with families, external agencies and our in house therapy team. Model effective teaching strategies and collaborate with Teachers and Teaching Assistants to support pupils with diverse needs. Create a stimulating, safe and well organised learning environment that promotes independence, communication and core life skills. Use assessment, data and evidence to set ambitious yet achievable targets, monitor progress and drive continuous improvement. Contribute to whole school planning, curriculum development and behaviour approaches that reflect our ethos and priorities. Build strong, positive relationships with parents/carers and the wider community, ensuring they are active partners in each child's journey. About you Degree/ QTS or equivalent qualification relevant to sector required. A strong understanding of primary aged learners and how to help them flourish. A genuine commitment to neuro affirming, trauma informed and child centred practice. Knowledge of statutory curriculum requirements, assessment and high quality teaching strategies. The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of developmental and communication needs. A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work closely with our Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychotherapy teams.
