Your new companyHays Education are supporting a South Liverpool primary school who are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic nursery Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development. Your new role Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities. Support children's social, emotional, and physical development. Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment. Provide one-on-one support to children with additional needs. Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Working hours for this role are 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday but additional wraparound hours are available. What you'll need to succeed A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, caring, and creative approach to working with children. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
