Welder Fabricator Permanent £38,000 - £41,000 Overtime Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm Sandy Overview Welding and fabrication in stainless steel material 1.0mm - 12mm thickness including pipework/purge. Both Tig and Synergic Mig welding processes are utilised. It is expected you will have experience in reading engineering drawings, understand tolerances/bend allowances /be experienced in fabrication and sheet-metal machinery. Other Responsibilities TIG & MIG Welding Working from engineering drawings Bend allowances, fabricating sheet metal for process machinery To carry out a policy of quality engineering when working in the factory / on site. To maintain standards on safety, hygiene, discipline, attendance, and good time keeping. City & Guilds Qualifications in Engineering would be an advantage or a good engineering background. Ideal candidates will come from a hands-on, "on-the-tools" background, including experience in roles such as mechanical fitter, maintenance technician, fabricator, automotive or vehicle mechanic, toolmaker, CNC operator, or similar practical engineering positions. As a Mechanical Fitter your duties will include: Prepare pump frames by fitting sections, brackets, and other components. Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures. Build and assemble sub-components, including pneumatics, valves, and pipework. Install pipe runs into frames, predominantly stainless steel Fit heaters and insulation to pipe runs, preparing pumps for final assembly.
