This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people's daily lives. Location: Edinburgh East Rate of Pay: £14.02 per hour Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 36 hours per week. Additional hours will be subject to time and a half as of week 13 Duration: Ongoing Start Date: Immediate Key Responsibilities: Safely transport passengers to and from school, day centres, and community activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. Provide assistance when boarding and leaving the vehicle, offering patient and respectful support tailored to each individual's needs. Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and promptly report any maintenance concerns. Build positive and trusting relationships with passengers, families, and staff, promoting a calm and friendly atmosphere. Follow all road safety regulations and organisational policies to the highest standard. Requirements: Valid UK driving licence with D1 category (essential) Previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs or vulnerabilities (highly desirable) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and committed to safeguarding and wellbeing Additional Information: This role is subject to a PVG check - new applicants £59, update applications £18.
