Network Consultant (DV Cleared) - Major Technology Transition Programme Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Consultant with active DV clearance to join our team for a major technology transition initiative. This is a contract role anticipated to last up to 2 years. Key Responsibilities: Network Consulting: Provide expert consulting services on network design, implementation, and optimization. Conduct network assessments and identify areas for improvement. Develop network strategies and roadmaps to align with business objectives. Technology Transition: Assist in planning and executing network migrations and upgrades. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the transition. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential problems. Provide technical support to end-users. Security and Compliance: Advise on network security best practices and compliance requirements. Assist in implementing security measures to protect network infrastructure. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities. Required Qualifications: Active DV Clearance: Essential. Cisco expert CCNP or CCIE certifications essential Strong Technical Skills: Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, etc.) Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) Knowledge of network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime) Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes. Strong analytical skills to evaluate network performance and identify optimization opportunities. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Experience with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI) Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure) If you possess the required skills, experience, clearance level, and certifications, and are eager to contribute to a significant technology transition, we encourage you to apply.
