Print Finisher Location: Nottingham Shifts: 3-week rotating shift pattern (details below) Salary: £14.50 + overtime Pin Point Recruitment is proud to be recruiting for an experienced Print Finisher / Folder Operator to join a leading print manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience operating MBO or Heidelberg folding machines, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and Health & Safety. Key Responsibilities Ensure the correct job, version, and code are set up on the machine. Complete make-ready and obtain OK to Proceed sign-off from the Folding Cell Leader or Finishing Manager. Monitor and maintain the quality of all work produced. Make machine adjustments to maintain output, accuracy, and consistency. Work to optimum machine running speeds. Support, guide, and utilise any machine assistants allocated to your line. Complete ISO 9001 documentation accurately and on time. Provide thorough shift handovers and share all relevant job information. Report any breakdowns, faults, or abnormalities immediately. Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Provide coaching and support to colleagues when needed. Carry out daily and monthly preventative maintenance checks and complete required forms. Monitor stock levels for machine parts and request replenishment where needed. Report if targets are not being achieved or are unachievable. Technical Requirements City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) preferred. Strong literacy and numeracy skills. Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements. Essential: Experience running MBO or Heidelberg folding machines. Print Finishers or Bindery Operators Job Type: Full time/Permanent One of the UK s leading printers has the opportunity for experienced Print Finishers, Guillotine Operators and Bindery or Saddle Stitch operators to join a great team! With a great benefits package and a competitive salary this could be the perfect opportunity for you! On-site parking Average 39 hours per week 12 hours shifts 06.00hrs-18.00hrs or 18.00hrs-06.00hrs with a 1 hour paid break Predominantly working 3 shifts a week, with 12 extra shifts to be worked throughout the year DAY or NIGHT shifts You will work Monday-Wednesday days for 4 weeks, then rotate to Thursday-Saturday days for 4 weeks. You will be required to work 12 extra shifts per annum which will predominately fall on Sunday days. It will be a maximum of 9 Sunday days and the remaining 3 will be required during the week. Plenty of Overtime available (Voluntary) The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the running finishing, guillotine or high speed saddle-stitching or binding line to produce finished products to the highest quality and as efficiently as the job and machinery will allow. If you have some experience with print finishing or high speed saddle stitching in a comparable environment, re-training will be considered. Duties include: Set up machinery to produce jobs in line with job bag instructions. Allocate tasks to crew members (If applicable) Keep the work area tidy and machinery in good order to ensure all work is correctly labeled and quarantine procedures are followed. Ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner and are inline with despatch instructions Ensure Company Health, safety and environmental procedures are followed.
