Principal Lecturer - Student Recruitment, Marketing and Access

Overview Principal Lecturer for Student Recruitment, Marketing and Access in the School of Health, Robert Gordon University (RGU) will lead a team of academics to achieve the School's recruitment targets, widen participation, and promote health careers across Aberdeen and beyond. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to the School's recruitment team, ensuring students have an excellent experience and that selection targets are met. Lead, manage and develop a team of academic staff and support their performance and professional development. Develop and monitor widening participation strategies, including broader outreach to schools and colleges. Build and strengthen partnerships with schools and colleges to raise awareness of health careers and support progression into the School's programmes. Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and widening participation within the student population. Lead the evaluation and enhancement of student selection and recruitment processes in line with professional and university standards. Facilitate research and teaching links to meet the School's educational standards. Develop and maintain internal and external networks to support the School's strategic vision. Engage in scholarly and research activities that align with the School's research and scholarship strategy. Represent the School at relevant internal and external committees. Manage and implement key projects and strategic initiatives, delegating responsibilities as required. Contribute to the operational delivery of healthcare education through teaching and assessment duties, as required. Qualifications Applicants should be from a healthcare discipline related to the School of Health and hold registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience in recruitment, marketing or widening participation within higher education is desirable. The role may be eligible for sponsorship under the UK Skilled Worker route. Benefits Salary: £58,225 - £67,468 per year. Permanent contract. Competitive pension scheme. Generous annual leave allowance. Up to 50% hybrid working.
