HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / LGV Technician / Diesel Mechanic Location: Gateshead The Role We are looking for a VMU Technician to join our Gateshead Depot Vehicle Maintenance Unit, Supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our fleet. You'll be part of a close knit team of 7 colleagues working together to maintain a fleet of around 45 to 50 vehicles. In this hands on role, you'll carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on vehicles, trailers and associated equipment, helping to ensure our fleet remains compliant, roadworthy and available to meet delivery schedules. You'll work closely with the VMU Co-ordinators, front line managers and the wider logistics team, contributing to performance targets while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The Offer: Basic Salary: £43,172 + Overtime & Benefits = £46,000 per annum Hours: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 & 11:00 - 19:00 (44-hour week). Rotating Saturday Morning 06:00am to 14:00pm Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
