Unlike a traditional CI (Continuous Improvement) role that focuses on refining existing processes, this role requires a forward-thinking, strategic mindset-one that can work with limited or incomplete data and apply logical assumptions to develop robust business cases. You will be responsible for supporting the development of new opportunities, conducting feasibility studies, and modelling different expansion scenarios, helping senior stakeholders make data driven investment decisions. Key Responsibilities 1. Solutions Design & Expansion Modelling Support the design and evaluation of new developments, site expansions, and infrastructure projects, ensuring feasibility and alignment with business goals. Develop cost benefit and scenario models to compare expansion options and support capital investment decisions. Assess operational, financial, and strategic implications of new sites, facilities, and capacity expansions. Provide input into key customer tenders, particularly where they relate to new capacity, site expansions, or development projects. 2. Business Case Development Prepare structured, data driven business cases for new builds, upgrades, and strategic investments. Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Strategy teams to ensure accurate, aligned data assumptions and forecasts. Present recommendations in a clear, compelling way to influence senior decision makers. 3. Data Analysis & Assumption Building Build Excel based models, using existing data where available and supplementing it with external logic, benchmarks, and assumptions when data is incomplete. Identify key value drivers, risks, and sensitivities in business case models. Challenge existing assumptions and bring fresh thinking to investment and design decisions. 4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Work with diverse stakeholders across Europe, including senior leadership, Finance, Operations, Commercial, and external consultants. Engage with cross functional teams to gather insights, validate assumptions, and ensure solutions are practical and aligned with business needs. Present findings in a clear, visually engaging way so that non technical stakeholders can quickly understand the implications. Build financial models and operational forecasts to support investment and capacity decisions. Use Excel (advanced level) for scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and data interrogation. Where relevant, use visualisation tools to translate complex analysis into simple, actionable insights. Collaborate with teams across different European markets. Travel within Europe as required to assess sites, meet stakeholders, and support project execution. Comfort with Limited Data Able to make logical assumptions, use external insights, and still maintain clarity on risks and sensitivities.
