Responsibilities include technical support of our international live sports productions. Reporting to the Global Head of Engineering & Technology, the successful candidate works closely with our UK Production Operations and Production teams, while collaborating with the North American Technical Operations team on global initiatives. The ideal candidate will continue to dive deep into new technology through meetings with vendors and attendance at industry conferences that showcase new best practices and technological advances. Key job responsibilities - Oversee and maintain broadcast engineering equipment and infrastructure supporting live sports productions. - Provide hands-on support for video and audio signal flow, routing, networking, and transmission during live events. - Manage and troubleshoot Amazon RTS production intercom systems, including frame configuration, key panels, PLs, and remote connectivity via SIP and RVON. - Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco network switches and firewalls to ensure secure, high-availability network connectivity across production environment. - Patch and maintain on-prem and AWS cloud-based servers, including Windows, macOS, and Linux systems in accordance with company security policies. - Deploy and monitor IP-based contribution encoders and decoders using protocols like SRT and RIST. - Proactively monitor and resolve system issues to ensure uninterrupted live broadcasts. - Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, support, and ongoing maintenance. - Keep system documentation current, including signal flows, configuration notes, and maintenance procedures. - Approximately 25-30 percent travel, both domestic and international. Travel schedule to vary based on sport properties season and event schedule.
