We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced bioinformatician who is interested in working at the forefront of the gene editing (CRISPR knock out, base editing) and gene modulation (CRISPRa, CRISPRi, RNAi) fields. Toshiba Europe Ltd have been at the forefront of research in quantum technology, particularly quantum communications and quantum key distribution (QKD) for the past two decades. Bioinformatician/Staff Scientist in Medical Genomics Do you want to help us improve human health and understand life on Earth? The group uses large-scale genetic and phenotypic data to investigate the genetic architecture of rare and common diseases and complex traits. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects using data from the following studies: The group is also planning new multi-omic projects in reproductive genomics, fetal medicine, and neonatology. You may have the opportunity to contribute to these projects as they develop. PCB constraint generation as required to ensure signal and power integrity management. Generation of PCB manufacturing drawings, such as bare board and assembly drawings. Coaching and mentoring of junior team members. What you'll bring The role requires the following experience and skills: Demonstrable expertise in the layout of complex high-speed digital and RF designs using the Siemens Xpedition Enterprise PCB design software. Experience in implementing PCB layouts on both rigid and flex-rigid board technologies. In-depth knowledge of PCB placement and routing guidelines compliant to the latest industry standards (i.e., IPC 2221). Knowledge and experience of DFM and DFT design practices, liaising with PCB suppliers to optimize approaches and resolve any emerging issues. Experience in the use of PLM software (such as Aras Innovator or Windchill) for the configuration control of PCB data.
