Job Overview Support ongoing improvement of products and manufacturing processes to optimise Quality, Delivery, and Cost Assist in maintaining factory plant, machinery, and equipment within the manufacturing facility Develop practical engineering skills within a general workshop environment, following departmental training matrices Contribute to engineering-based concepts and implement continual improvement solutions Participate in projects, including definition and selection of new concepts, equipment, and automation technologies Support installation of production equipment and tooling, ensuring processes are designed for manufacture and NPI Conduct reactive and preventative maintenance activities as required, with support from the engineering team Participate in late shift rota and occasional weekend/out-of-hours work to support PPM and project delivery Share knowledge and assist in training colleagues to reduce departmental and business risk Adhere to departmental processes and procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards, supporting problem solving and root cause analysis Requirements Minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Minimum of 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment Practical experience completing machine maintenance Understanding of core manufacturing processes Strong problem-solving skills and organised approach to work Ability to collaborate effectively within engineering and production teams Desirable skills include: Knowledge of at least one CAD systemUnderstanding of hydraulics and pneumaticsExperience using Word, Excel, and SAP ERPWorking knowledge of lean principles and single piece flowAbility to wire cabinets and interpret electrical diagramsBasic PLC knowledge and fault findingFabrication skills (Mill and Lathe)Full UK driving licence Salary & Benefits Hours of Work Full-time (onsite role based in Worthing, UK) Late shift rota participation (notified in advance) Flexibility required for weekend and out-of-hours support when necessary Salary & Benefits Competitive salary £32,000-£34,000 Employee product discounts Extensive training and development opportunities Employee recognition and rewards programme Inclusive and supportive working environment Opportunities for career progression ?
