Role Overview Carry out servicing and maintenance of a modern HGV fleet Complete MOT preparation work Conduct 6, 8 and 10-weekly inspection checks on HGV vehicles and trailers Undertake mechanical and electrical repairs Produce accurate and timely inspection and service reports Order spare parts and components when required Perform additional workshop tasks related to fleet repair and maintenance Work effectively in a fast-paced, time-critical environment Report directly to the General Manager and operate as a key member of the workshop team Requirements Previous experience in an HGV/Heavy Goods mechanical role Valid C+E driving licence (in date) Knowledge of Scania, DAF or Mercedes tractor units (desirable) Tail-lift qualification or experience (advantageous, but training can be provided) Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and commitment to "right first time" standards Willingness to undergo further training and skill development Salary & Benefits 21.00 per hour Flexible working hours available Overtime opportunities offered Training and development programmes provided Supportive team environment with long-term career prospects Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
