My Client is currently seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operative/Banksman to work with them on a temporary ongoing basis. A Banksman (or Traffic Marshal/Signaller) directs vehicle movement on worksites, acting as the driver's "eyes" to ensure safety by preventing collisions with people or other equipment, using hand signals or radios to guide manoeuvres like reversing, loading, and unloading. Key duties involve hazard identification, maintaining clear work areas, managing traffic flow, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols for complex operations like crane lifts, making them crucial for site health & safety. This role will also be reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor and will also include Scanning stock in warehouse. Previous experience desired but not essential. We are seeking a Transport Compliance Administrator to support our client in Bristol. This is a hands-on, operational role suited to someone with previous transport industry experience , ideally an ex-driver or a driver looking to move away from driving while remaining involved in transport operations. This is not a typical office-based admin role . The successful candidate will regularly work in the yard and will be required to get in and out of vehicles. Key Responsibilities Accident investigation and reporting Managing manual vehicle download calendars General transport administration duties Carrying out vehicle spot checks Auditing vehicle defect notes TVT administration and checks Liaising with the transport team and supporting daily operations Requirements Previous experience working in the transport industry Full UK driving licence Comfortable working in a yard environment and around HGVs Willingness to travel between Hartcliffe Way and Ashton sites Desirable HGV licence (not essential) Background as an HGV driver or transport operative Knowledge of vehicle compliance and defect reporting Ideal Candidate Practical and hands-on Understands transport operations and compliance Confident working both in an office setting and outdoors in the yard Reliable, organised, and safety-focused Start As soon as possible.
