MFL Teacher - Cheshire East Long-Term Opportunity (Cover Supervisors Considered) Cheshire East Full-Time Long-Term Role Pay: £140 - £220 per day (DOE) Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm About the Opportunity Astro Education is currently recruiting a dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to support a secondary school based in Cheshire East. We are working in close partnership with a supportive secondary school seeking a talented MFL Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons, primarily in German and/or Spanish , across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for stability and continuity while making a lasting impact within a single school environment. Whether you are an experienced teacher, Early Career Teacher (ECT), Cover Supervisor, or returning to the classroom, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons ( German and/or Spanish ) across Key Stages 3 and 4 Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum Create a positive and inclusive learning environment Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Manage classroom behaviour effectively Work collaboratively with department staff and follow safeguarding procedures Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent (Cover Supervisors without QTS will also be considered) Experience teaching MFL in a secondary school setting Strong subject knowledge in German and/or Spanish Excellent classroom management skills Strong communication and organisational abilities A passion for languages and cultural learning Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Eligibility to work in the UK Benefits of Working with Astro Education Competitive daily rates (£140 - £220 DOE) (aligned with header) Weekly PAYE pay - no umbrella companies Long-term role offering consistency and career development Opportunity to secure a permanent position via our 12-week temp-to-perm model Supportive school environments across Cheshire East Dedicated education consultant offering ongoing support Straightforward and efficient registration process About Astro Education Astro Education is committed to ethical recruitment and transparent working practices, building strong partnerships between schools and education professionals across Cheshire.
