You will play a crucial role in driving the business forward, maintaining our high standards, and fostering a vibrant, positive team culture. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading from the Front: Running shifts with energy and flair, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional, memorable experience from their morning coffee to their midnight nightcap. Team Development: Training, mentoring, and inspiring our front of house team to deliver knowledgeable and passionate service. Operational Excellence: Assisting the GM with the day to day running of the venue, including rotas, stock control, health & safety compliance, and cellar management. Commercial Acumen: Understanding the P&L, driving sales, and effectively managing wage targets and cost of goods. Atmosphere Management: Curating the perfect vibe as the venue transitions seamlessly from a relaxed daytime brunch spot to a bustling, late night cocktail bar. The Ideal Candidate Experienced: You have a proven track record as a Deputy General Manager or are a highly experienced Assistant General Manager ready for the next step, ideally within a high volume, premium bar or gastropub environment. Since 2001, the land - once intensively farmed - has been devoted to a pioneering rewilding project. Using grazing animals as the drivers of habitat creation, and with the restoration of dynamic, natural water courses, the project has seen extraordinary increases in wildlife. As part of this project Knepp has created a butchery, providing award winning beef, venison and pork that are biproducts of the project. As part of this new venture, the restaurant will utilise the high-quality produce coming off the project as well as our new 3 acre market garden. It is our hope that we can create an exciting and sustainable culinary destination. About The Role: We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate team member with a passion for great service, produce and sustainability to join our growing team.
