(FEL-T) is the trading arm of Filmhouse (Edinburgh) Ltd., a new charity established to relaunch and operate Filmhouse, Scotland's leading cultural cinema. Our vision is for Filmhouse to be a world-class cinema for Scotland's capital, connecting people with a range of films from around the world, as well as providing a welcoming space to eat, drink and socialise in the city. After significant progress in fundraising and planning, we are now underway with a major renovation of the premises at 88 Lothian Road, and plan to reopen the cinema in June 2025. An intrinsic part of the newly reopened Filmhouse is its 100-cover bar and restaurant, which will offer a dynamic, varied and welcoming experience for cinemagoers and the general public, from 10 am until 10 pm every day. The menu will offer a small number of breakfast options, before moving on to the all-day a la carte consisting of small plates and platters designed for sharing alongside classic mains. An extended brunch service will be available on Sunday mornings into early afternoon. The bar will feature a seasonal cocktail menu and an extensive wine list, as well as spotlighting local beers and spirits, with a strong non-alcoholic range, and great coffee. We are seeking a dedicated Hospitality Supervisor to join our team. You'll work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced, creative environment, ensuring consistent preparation, service standards, and a positive guest experience. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved at the very beginning of a re-launch of one of Edinburgh's most important cultural venues. The role is full time at 37.5 hours per week, including daytime, evening and weekend work as required for the proper performance of the role; part time positions may also be available.
