What We're Looking For Strong Java development experience within financial systems, ideally in pricing or risk-related applications. Not just a coder, but someone who also focuses on applying best practices, design patterns and principles to develop scalable, maintainable and high-quality code. Someone who enjoys maths/logic problems and challenges Knows or willingness to learn Python for analysing and building various quants/mathematical models Experience across one or more asset classes such as Equities, FX, Commodities, and Derivatives. Familiarity with Front Office trading systems and a deep understanding of market-making environments. Ability to quickly respond to critical issues in a fast-paced trading environment. Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders. Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
