Mechanical Design Engineer Plymouth, Commutable from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton Up to 45,000 per annum + Bonus + Early Finish on Friday + Pension + Extra Benefits Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in mechanical systems design to join a market-leading, international company. The Role: Develop detailed mechanical designs, creating accurate 3D models, drawings and BOMs using CAD software. You will collaborate with fabrication, production, quality, project management and supply chain teams as well as liaise directly with the customers to manage timelines and expectations. Balance design with cost effectiveness, identifying opportunities to simplify manufacture and assembly processes while maintaining product functionality. Ensure all designs meet relevant standards (UL, UKCA, CE etc.) and produce supporting documentation to achieve compliance.
