A specialist contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Smoke Ventilation Designer / Estimator to support the continued growth of its engineering division. The role focuses on the design, estimation and technical development of mechanical and natural smoke ventilation systems across residential and mixed-use developments. Working closely with fire engineers, consultants and project teams, you will be responsible for developing compliant smoke control solutions, preparing project costings and supporting projects through design, Gateway 2 compliance and delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically focused business delivering complex smoke control and life safety systems on high-profile developments. Prepare complete and well-presented tender submissions, including pricing documents, clarifications, value engineering options, and supporting information as required. Work closely with the wider estimating, design, and project delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from tender stage through to project award and handover. Manage multiple tenders concurrently, prioritising workload effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain organised estimating records, cost databases, and supplier information to support ongoing and future tender opportunities. Who are we looking for HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential).
