PROPERTY INSPECTOR Rendall & Rittner • Competitive + Car Allownace • Hybrid - Covering Southport, Bournemouth and Southampton ROLE OVERVIEW You will play a key role in safeguarding the standards, safety and presentation of our developments across Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and surrounding areas. With a hybrid working pattern and a strong focus on being on site, you will typically complete around 4-6 inspections each day, ensuring communal areas, building fabric and services are well maintained and any risks are quickly addressed. You will be supported by a dedicated property management team and receive a £4,000 per annum car allowance on top of your salary. First-stage interviews will be via Microsoft Teams. This role is ideal if you have experience in property management, property/site inspections or maintenance-particularly if you bring a practical, hands-on maintenance mindset and enjoy being out on the road. ROLE EXPECTATIONS You will spend most days visiting multiple developments, completing structured inspections, capturing clear reports with photos, and escalating any hazards, defects or maintenance needs. You will liaise with site staff, contractors and residents, following through actions to resolution and keeping accurate records so issues are prioritised and resolved swiftly. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE You complete thorough, timely inspections across your patch every day with accurate, actionable reporting. Health, safety and compliance risks are identified early and mitigated quickly with clear follow-up. Sites are consistently clean, safe and well-presented, reflected in positive resident and client feedback. Contractor works are monitored effectively, with quality, value and timelines achieved. Communication is proactive, professional and well-documented, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. You manage your schedule efficiently, balancing urgency with planned preventive checks. HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME Conducting 4-6 structured site inspections daily, documenting findings with photos and clear actions. Checking health and safety compliance, including communal areas, fire safety measures and access routes. Raising, prioritising and tracking maintenance works with contractors and onsite teams. Meeting and liaising with site staff and residents to understand issues and provide updates. Following up on remedial actions to ensure timely completion and quality outcomes. Preparing concise reports and updating systems to keep stakeholders informed. WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR You enjoy being on the move, splitting time between home, office and sites with minimal supervision.
