Senior Mechanical Engineer - To £55K - Kent As a Senior Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer you'll be responsible for managing your own projects, providing a QA function on HVAC design before work is issued, providing technical support to clients and colleagues and also monitoring projects on site. You'll enjoy a hybrid working policy of two to three days a week from the office (depending on if you have site or design team meetings etc) and also enjoy working in their office in Kent; which is a short drive from Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tonbridge or West Malling. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, management and delivery of mechanical (HVAC) works from feasibility to handover. Specific Duties Carry out mechanical design work and review the work performed by other less experienced team members. Maintain design standards across engineering, specifications, documentation, QA, cost and value analysis and the broader aspects of building services. Assist the Associate or Director with monitoring workload, tracking fees and deadlines and assisting with resource planning. Work co-operatively with other M&E Engineers and external Structural Engineers, Architects and Project Managers. Produce schedules for specifications/compile parts of specifications. Assist with surveys, inspections and witnessing as required. Represent the consultancy at meetings with project clients and other project stakeholders as required. Requirements Minimum of six years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Building Services industry. Previous experience in managing projects through RIBA Stages 2 - 4a. Good awareness of modern methods of construction, BIM and ideally an interest in low carbon / low energy building design. Degree qualified and preferably Chartered.

BJF are seeking a heating engineer/plumber to work on a roaming role across sites in Kent. You will be working on high security sites so extensive clearance will be under taken on any succesful candidates. The post-holder will be expected to provide comprehensive repairs and maintenance to a range of commercial and domestic heating and plumbing applications. Experience working with HVAC equipment and systems is also desirable. The role consists of fault-finding analysis, maintenance, repairs, installation and upgrading work to respective heating, sanitation, plumbing and HVAC equipment on a planned and reactive basis - to ensure that systems are operating safely and effectively and are in compliance with appropriate regulatory standards and good practice.
