Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated EICA Engineer to support the delivery of electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems that ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of water treatment and distribution infrastructure. Responsibilities Design and Development: Review EICA designs, specifications, and schedules for water and wastewater projects. Read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and control philosophies. Assist (when required) with the selection and specification of electrical and control equipment. Project Execution: Support project delivery from concept through to commissioning and handover. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of EICA systems. Automation and Control: Configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. Provide input on automation strategies to improve plant performance and reliability. Maintenance & Support: Assist with diagnosing and resolving electrical and control system faults. Support the operations team with preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Requirements JIB "gold card" qualifications including but not limited to NVQ Level 3, AM2, 2391 Inspect & Test (or equivalents) etc. Experience working within the water or wastewater sector (preferred, but not essential). Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA, instrumentation, and telemetry. Familiarity with industry standards such as BS7671, WIMES, and IEC standards. Understanding of DSEAR, ATEX, and functional safety principles. Skills and Attributes: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Full UK driving license (or equivalent if not UK-based). Willingness to travel to various sites as required. Desirable: CSCS / EUSR card.
