DevOps Engineers - SC Cleared Rate : to 515 a day (Inside IR35) Locations: Remote in the UK Durations: Initially six months Clearance : SC and willingness to undergo enhanced SC You will join a global IT consultancy, who are delivering digital transformation to a public sector body. You will: Build and maintain cloud platforms with a high degree of focus on technical reuse, standardisation and blueprints; think code first rather than "ClickOps" Embrace modern ways of working and feel part of our customer's outcomes as we group around activities in agile type sprints. Continue to strengthen and bolster your existing capabilities in platform engineering through a mix of professional training, certifications, and experiences. Your skills and experience A proven track record in platform engineering, particularly with: Azure/AWS, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and VCS (GitHub). Can demonstrate tangible experiences of end-to-end delivery using ITIL frameworks. A background in infrastructure and networking would be advantageous, as would experience working in an Agile manner.

The role focuses on improving and maintaining Salesforce delivery pipelines, helping teams release changes reliably and consistently across multiple environments. You will be responsible for setting up and supporting CI/CD processes, automating deployments, and working closely with delivery teams within a secure environment. You will be part of their customers Design Authority, taking responsibility for all aspects of engineering process, governance, technology and strategy. Responsibilities: Define engineering processes, standards and guidance covering the end-to-end lifecycle of a variety of components (software, infrastructure, service management etc.), enabling the repeatable delivery of governed and assured products Enable engineering governance, working across multiple suppliers to ensure quality artefacts are produced to standards consistently Define engineering and automation tooling requirements and architecture, and support teams in the delivery of this technology and the supporting processes Ensure the engineering function is delivering value to the customers business, achieving their strategic goals through delivery of engineering concepts, guidance and artefacts Manage the Engineering Community of Practise, leading a team of engineering focussed people to deliver the wider engineering function Skills required: Proven experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar) , with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and culture , including automation, collaboration between development and operations teams, and continuous improvement. Experience implementing or supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and deployment automation. CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment): Hands-on experience designing, maintaining, or optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable, and repeatable software builds, testing, and releases. Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions.
