This is a 12 month FTC What you'll be doing: Manage an effective HR Shared Services department operating as a centre of excellence delivering efficient transactional and advisory support to the business Key Accountabilities: Deliver a HR Shared Services centre for the whole group, utilising enabling technology and associated end to end processes, which continuously develops and delivers in line with business strategy and requirements Coach, support, mentor and build HR Shared Services team capability to ensure they are engaged and achieving their potential Proactively seek to partner and build understanding of the needs and activity of the business to inform changes to service delivery which promote an excellent customer experience, with a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging adoption of the underpinning technology with the customer population Partnering with the HR community to ensure that the transactional and advisory services reliably deliver high quality compliant service aligned to business needs Maintain a compliance culture, leading appropriate audit activity, within the HR Shared Services team to ensure all auditable documentation is accurate and up to date Effectively monitor the service performance through agreed service level agreements and highlight areas of concern, use short, medium and long-term plans to ensure solutions are in place if needed Provide a professional advisory service that gives effective solutions to people issues ensuring a balance between individual and business needs Drive excellent customer service across all processes, ensuring compliance with legal, internal, and external audit process requirements whilst ensuring delivery and communication of consistent best practice information, advice, and guidance Be the point of escalation and handle complex colleague and manager queries and prepare response to all levels of the business What we're looking for: CIPD membership and qualification or time served in HR Experience of transactional HR and advisory activities Proven experience of HR Shared Services management, ideally within a large business Up to date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation Demonstrate an understanding of HR and case management systems Robust organisational skills with high attention to detail Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels Ability to work under pressure to deliver stringent results and meet demanding targets Able to make smart and sound proactive decisions based on information, insights, and past experiences Comfortable working in a high volume fast paced business taking a hands on, logical and pragmatic approach Comfortable working in and managing complex projects Intermediate Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint These may be trained or developed.
