About The Role Job Title Assistant Fleet Manager Location:Dromore, Northern Ireland Contract Type:Permanent Due to the on-going growth and development of the GRAHAM business we seek to recruit an enthusiastic, diligent and adaptable Assistant Fleet Manager whose role is to principally assist manage the costs and drivers in a company car or van fleet, keeping efficiency and safety at the top of their agenda. Job Description The Assistant Fleet Manager shall: Assist to manage the assessment, selection, ordering and administration of new vehicles in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. This brings in the fleet budget constraints and procurement for each financial year. Take Control of Fuel cards and run reports to see if improvements and savings can be made Assist HR and Payroll with their respective duties. Driver training Currently Insurance Dept. check the validity of all drivers licences. Identify any specific advanced training that maybe required by drivers. Accident Management Assist Insurance Department with the compiling of information and reports regarding accidents and damages to vehicles. Owned, leased and third party. Accident analysis and consequently driver training should this be a requirement. Producing KPIs identifying different aspects of the business and benchmarking of Safety and Environmental aspects. End of life vehicles and look at the options and solutions for owned and leased vehicles. Look at the procedure for drivers returning vehicles at the end of their duration, the vehicles condition, mileage, damages, etc. The problems associated with returning damaged vehicles and the tie up with HR regarding the allocation of costs. There is a lot to consider with fleet remarketing, including fleet car auctions, inspections, repairs and reserve prices. Assist the Insurance Director with the formulation and roll out of a Company wide drivers handbook. Provide support to the other members of the team as required. Access the viability of repairs and whole life costs with regard to repair or replacement of vehicles. Review hired vehicles and what is the best for the Company. Agnews currently offer a hired vehicles as do Enterprise. Safety and Risk Management. This will involve SHE input. Review the current telematics system and see how this tool can be optimised to identify and obtain Environmental, Safety, Behavioural, Fuel Consumption and any other relevant data. Identify and advise of any new legislation, laws and regulations that require dovetailing into the GRAHAM policies and procedures. Looking at the future of the fleet and the best and practicable options for the Company.
