The Traincrew Planning Specialist is responsible for producing optimal traincrew resource solutions to enable the delivery of weekly Timetables and ad-hoc train plans, ensuring compliance with company Conditions of Service. You'll balance marketing & commercial aspirations with logistical constraints of contracts, conditions, rules and resources. Your responsibilities include: Proactively developing and implementing efficient plans under the strategic direction of the Traincrew Planning Manager for all Traincrew diagrams, timetables and ad-hoc train plans. Using intelligent Traincrew planning software to deliver efficient, robust and economic allocation of Traincrew workload across the business. Comparing Traincrew establishment for timetable/ad-hoc train plan assumptions with depot actual requirements to facilitate the robust development of Traincrew plans. Supporting the line management in the effective and timely consultation with employee representatives to obtain an endorsement of Traincrew resource plans for the major timetables. Providing advice and recommendations to line managers to enable them to decide the correct Traincrew depot establishment levels. Planning and conducting liaison meetings to identify customers' needs and requirements whilst exploring best practices for major timetable plans. Managing the Operational Planning team's Intranet page on "Connect", updating with relevant Traincrew diagram amendments. Maintaining accurate data measuring the impact of weekly timetables on depot requirements for Traincrew resources. Investigating any performance incident associated with the Traincrew plan and recommend steps to prevent a repeat. Delivering Traincrew resource solutions at T-8 weeks to establish future depot capabilities and requirements. Influencing and recommending relevant changes to improve business performance. Attending coordination meetings for major plans to identify specific requirements of Traincrew resources. Exploring potential issues and offer solutions to enable the delivery of a robust plan.
