Responsibilities to include: * Provide administrative support to fee earners as directed to ensure effective and efficient administration, management and maintenance of files from opening to archiving. * Effectively handle post (incoming, outgoing and filing). Ensure filing system is kept tidy and in accordance with National Practice Standards. * Screen telephone calls and take relevant messages or deal with enquiries where possible from clients, executives and others. * Independently prepare precedent letters, simple letters, attendances, and internal memoranda as appropriate and provide effective support, guidance and delegation to colleagues. * Court work: lodge documents and completion of court forms may be required. * Conduct legal research where required * Ensure financial aspects of matters including time recording, billing and debtor management are managed, to support fee earners in the achievement of their personal fee budget.
