Ensuring components are manufactured accurately and to the required quality. Identifying and resolving programming, tooling and machining issues. Completing route cards and production paperwork accurately at each stage of manufacture. Reporting any incorrect or missing information on route cards and providing useful notes for future repeat manufacture. Carrying out basic machine maintenance and keeping machines and work areas clean and organised. Supporting other members of the workshop when required. Skills and experience The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator. Experience programming with OneCNC CAD/CAM or similar CAD/CAM software. Good working knowledge of Heidenhain controls. Experience with Siemens controls would be advantageous. Strong CNC milling and machining knowledge. The ability to program, set and operate independently. Experience machining a range of materials, including aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel and engineering plastics. The ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings. Good knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, speeds and feeds. This role is suited to someone with a strong background in precision machining who can programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently to achieve right-first-time results. You will be joining an inclusive, collaborative team within a professional workshop housing state-of-the-art CNC machinery, laser equipment, and CMM inspection.
