Job Title Assistant Farm Manager, Location Lincoln, LN5 Salary £ competitive basic salary + benefits Job Purpose: To run the profitable operation of Beckingham Farm. Work with the Farm Manager and senior agriculture team and farm operatives to ensure that production targets, budget, key KPI's and retailer requirements are met. To ensure that the highest standards are maintained in stock husbandry, bird welfare and flock performance. To ensure that all eggs are collected, graded and packed efficiently in-line with industry standards and that second's levels are maintained on or below targeted KPI's. To ensure the highest site standards are maintained and the environmental policy is adhered to. Oversee and control staffing requirements for the site. Progressive farming operation has an opportunity for an assistant manager on an impressive site in Hampshire. The successful candidate will support the Farm manager with the day to day management of the farm, ensuring that the stock produced is of the highest standards and meets the required specification in terms of welfare, weight, quality and cost efficiency. It is preferred that the candidate will have previous broiler experience, but extensive training can be given for the right candidate. You will assist with taking birds from day old to clear over the 6 sheds which do have the benefit of being heated by a biomass woodchip boiler. This is a rewarding and stable long-term role for a hands-on and committed individual. A competitive package complete with salary and bonuses will be dependent on experience as will the potential for an offsite housing and council tax allowance. Within the role you will be required to: Ensure all aspects of running the farm are met Ensuring the welfare of livestock, feed ordering, ventilation management, vaccination, record keeping etc are met.
