A Local Authority is looking for a Homelessness Prevention Officer to join their team on a minimum 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. You will play a crucial role in assessing housing needs, preventing homelessness, and providing housing advice to applicants. This includes: Assessing and responding to homelessness applications under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Part VII of the Housing Act 1996. Writing S184 decision letters and Personal Housing Plans (PHPs). Providing housing options advice, including tenancy sustainment, welfare reform support, and negotiation with landlords and lenders.
