The Forum School The Forum School and Residential Home is a 52-week residential specialist school providing quality therapeutic care and education for young people with Autism, severe learning difficulties, challenging behaviour and complex needs. The children and young people that attend the school range between the ages of 7 and 19 years and enjoy a school calendar closely linked to Local Authority term dates. The Forum School is currently working towards reshaping the way in which specialists support young people into adulthood and seeks to prepare them for possible employment and lifelong fulfilment. Purpose of the Role The Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is responsible for ensuring that the learning support provided is of a high standard. The role will involve carrying out many of the tasks undertaken by a Teaching Assistant and acting as a good role model in doing so. Additional responsibilities centre upon working alongside TA's and Learning Support Workers to provide support, coaching and mentoring. The role also involves the assessment of TA practice to enable the achievement of NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants. A HLTA will be expected to supervise a class group for a period of time in the absence of a teacher, with assistance from a TA and support from senior teaching staff. The Role: FLIGHT TECHNICAL TRAINER -BOEING We're looking for an experienced Flight Technical Trainer / Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) to join our British Airways Approved Training Organisation (BA ATO). In this role, you'll deliver high quality, aircraft specific theoretical knowledge and technical training, supporting flight crew competence, examination success and safe line operations. Working within an approved regulatory framework, you'll play a key role in ensuring our training remains compliant, consistent and operationally relevant. What you'll be doing You'll be responsible for designing and delivering aircraft specific technical, procedural and performance training, primarily within a simulator based environment. You'll ensure training delivery aligns with approved regulatory syllabi, BA SOPs and current operational practice, and that learner progress is effectively monitored and supported. Key aspects of the role include: Delivering aircraft specific technical ground school and simulator based training in line with BA ATO and UK CAA requirements. Creating, administering and overseeing examinations, assessments and progress tests in accordance with ATO standards. Monitoring learner performance, identifying trends and providing timely feedback, intervention or escalation where required. Maintaining accurate, compliant and auditable learner and training records. Supporting instructor standardisation through continuous professional development, ensuring consistent application of approved instructional techniques, behaviours and assessment standards. What we're looking for: You'll bring strong technical credibility, a passion for learning and a commitment to regulatory excellence. You'll be comfortable working in a fast paced, operational environment and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. A strong technical grounding in aircraft systems and their operational application. Professional background acceptable to the UK CAA. Experience delivering technical systems or theoretical knowledge training. Sound understanding of ATO requirements and UK CAA/EASA Part FCL compliance. The ability to translate regulatory and competency frameworks into effective training delivery. Confident communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts. Experience as a commercial pilot, flight engineer, licensed engineer, flight operations officer or equivalent aeronautical engineering background is essential.
