About the Role: As a Humanities Teacher , you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that foster students' curiosity and critical thinking skills. You will support students in developing a strong understanding of historical events, geographical concepts, and cultural perspectives while encouraging independent learning and discussion. Humanities Teacher Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Humanities lessons for KS3 and KS4 students. Teach subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies according to the national curriculum. Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners and ensure student progress Encourage students to develop critical thinking, research, and analytical skills. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Foster a passion for Humanities through creative teaching methods, debates, and project-based learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Humanities curriculum and contribute to department initiatives. Humanities Teacher Requirements: Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have UK teaching experience. A degree in a Humanities-related subject. Experience teaching Humanities in a secondary school setting. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. Strong communication and organisational abilities. Passion for inspiring students and making Humanities subjects relevant. Ability to differentiate teaching methods to support all learners. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
