Director of the Joint Management Office
Job id: 080869
Salary: Competitive
Business unit: Research Management & Innovation
Department: Research Grants & Contracts Office
Location: Guy's Campus
Category: Professional & Support Services
A Joint Research Management Office (JRMO) is being established between King's College London and Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust to develop an efficient research management function between the partners for our clinical research portfolios. This is envisaged as the first step in formalising joint research management working across the organisations, which may extend in time across all King's Health Partners organisations. We are now recruiting to the new post of Director of the JRMO who will work to create the joint approach; this will involve close collaborative working with the existing teams within the partner organisations. Subsequent stages of implementation of the JRMO will be developed based on progress of this initiative.
The role will initially focus on devising and implementing procedures, service levels, policies and protocols for collaborative activities around clinical research, working to align and integrate existing processes to create joint working, joined-up operational functions and an effective joint office for research management across the organisation. This will involve working closely with the stakeholders' relevant research teams to create a new and efficient joint working landscape across the partner organisations for the clinical research community.
The role has a particular responsibility for leadership and oversight of establishing joint processes and systems that will facilitate and underpin activities around clinical research through the JRMO setting.
The Director of the JRMO will be employed by King's Research Management and Innovation Directorate but will work seamlessly across the complex interface between King's College London and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust where clinical research activity is taking place. The role has a particular responsibility for leadership and oversight in establishing joint processes and systems that will facilitate and underpin activities around clinical research through the JRMO setting.
This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post.
