Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a leading substance misuse charity in Derbyshire for a dedicated and empathetic Alcohol Recovery Worker to join their team as a locum on £25 per hour. (Assignment rate).

This service collaborates with a prominent NHS Foundation Trust and another esteemed substance misuse charity, delivering community support services for individuals dealing with drug and alcohol issues. Their comprehensive offerings include personalised advice, one-on-one and group sessions, assistance from harm reduction healthcare professionals, prescription services, and a needle exchange program.

Duties of the Alcohol Recovery Worker include:

Conduct thorough assessments to understand the extent and nature of an individual's substance misuse.

Evaluate the client's physical and mental health, social circumstances, and support networks.

Deliver educational programs to raise awareness about the risks of substance misuse and promote prevention strategies.

Regularly assess the progress of clients in their recovery and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Facilitate referrals to other specialised services such as mental health professionals, housing support, or employment services.

Requirements of the Alcohol Recovery Worker include:

Previous UK experience working in a substance misuse or addiction role is essential.

Awareness of local and national policies related to substance misuse.

Demonstrated empathy and understanding towards individuals facing substance misuse challenges.

Ability to adapt to changing situations and be flexible in providing support to clients with varying needs.
