  • Salary range: from £57,149 to £69,042 per annum (dependent on skills, experience and qualifications)
  • Hours: 35 per week
  • Contract type: Fixed-Term Contract for up to 12 months (maternity leave cover)

Role Details

We are seeking a Head of Governance to lead the Governance function at Regent's, working closely with both the Board of Directors and the Executive Team, and acting as Company Secretary.

This is a key role within the University responsible for maintaining an up-to-date Compliance Calendar, and for ensuring the effective organisation and management of Board and committee business.

You will:

  • Provide advice to the Board of Directors and the Executive Team on governance, regulatory, constitutional and procedural matters
  • Ensure all external reporting requirements, returns and deadlines are fully met
  • Ensure that our committees are properly constituted and undertake regular reviews of their effectiveness
  • Maintain robust Risk Management and Board Assurance frameworks
  • Act as the University's Data Protection Officer and Prevent Lead

You will have good knowledge and understanding of the UK HE sector, as well as of GDPR and Data Protection. This will be supplemented by first-class communication skills, the credibility to command respect from all stakeholders - internal and external - as well as the ability to demonstrate sensitivity, judgment and tact, particularly when dealing with confidential matters.

In addition, you will take a pro-active approach to continuous improvement, show great attention to detail, highly-organised and able to prioritise tasks wherever necessary to meet deadlines.

Interviews will likely be held at our Regent's University London campus during week commencing 19 February and/or 26 February.
