What Youll Do Lead and coordinate the Access to HE programme, ensuring high-quality delivery and outstanding learner outcomes Teach and assess across Access to HE units (subject specialism aligned to your expertise, e.g. Social Sciences, Health, Humanities or related area) Support adult learners in developing academic writing, research, study skills, and confidence for higher education Monitor learner progress, achievement, and progression to university Provide pastoral and academic guidance tailored to mature learners and diverse life experiences Work collaboratively with awarding bodies, university partners, and internal teams to maintain standards and curriculum relevance Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and inclusive practice What Youll Bring A degree (Level 6 or above) in a relevant subject area aligned to Access to HE provision Experience teaching post-16 or adult learners, ideally within FE or Access programmes Strong understanding of the academic and pastoral needs of adult returners to education Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate curriculum delivery A commitment to widening participation, equality, and inclusive teaching practice A teaching qualification is welcomed if you dont yet hold one, we will support you to achieve it Why Become an Access to HE Course Lead?
