About the role:
The successful candidate will support the Learning and Development Manager, to achieve the objectives within the corporate strategy. To aid with supporting and maximising the performance of the workforce. To develop a range of training programmes and interventions to increase capacity and capability across all services within the Authority. To liaise and negotiate and network with partner organisations on the design, facilitation, and delivery initiatives
About you:
You will:
- Have a Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training (or to be achieved within 2 years)
- Have experience, of working in a Learning and Development Environment, developing and delivering training, with excellent knowledge and a flexible approach that involves the use of a variety of training techniques and theories and adapt your knowledge of various training methods to suit more than one audience.
- Have experience of Health and Safety regulations, procedures and knowledge of operational services.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can adapt your approach appropriately to any circumstance and be able to communicate technical information in an easy-to-understand format.
- Have an understanding of Quality Assurance Procedures and maintain a high standard of training and record keeping to meet accreditation requitements as well as organisational business needs.
- Confidence in using technological equipment and IT systems.
- Possess a full driving licence and the ability to travel around Powys
What you will do:
- Use your creative skills to design and develop bespoke training programmes.
- Combine the application of known methods and theories, and research new methods and theories, and adapt them to suit the training objectives for various training courses.
- Use your level of experience in delivering training to influence and challenge to think fast and resolve problems of engagement from individuals who are resisting involvement or opposing the views and theories you are delivering.
- Advise, support and where appropriate, lead on gaining accreditation status for the service in your area of expertise.
- Liaise with the Learning and Development Manager with the development of other training programs and meet tight deadlines.
