About the role:
To deliver a grant-funded Digital Community Hubs project across local library hub locations in Powys.
Hub developments are focused on providing a wide range of exciting digital inclusion opportunities for residents and communities, including device and equipment loans, flexible co-working spaces, and a programme of training and development to boost digital skills, as well as working with our project partner, Accessibility Powys, to support people with additional needs.
About you:
- Experience of managing projects successfully
- Good knowledge of modern ICT equipment, applications, and packages in general use
- Experience of working effectively in partnership with statutory, independent and voluntary agencies and volunteers
- Excellent management and leadership qualities
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience of project evaluation techniques, including stakeholder engagement and report writing.
What you will do:
- Management of the project team and all aspects of the project until completion in December 2024.
- Identification of target groups and stakeholder organisations who can support residents to achieve their goals safely and confidently online, creating a multi-agency digital inclusion network across Powys and in localities, as a route to long-term sustainability after the end of the project in December 2024.
- Extensive stakeholder networking and engagement and marketing, to raise awareness and effectively promote the current resources available through the library service and Accessibility Powys
- Organisation of training and support for Cultural Services staff, volunteers, and partner agency staff
- Development of learning opportunities for residents
- Monitoring and evaluation of the success of the facilities and activities undertaken
