Job Description

About the role:

To deliver a grant-funded Digital Community Hubs project across local library hub locations in Powys.

Hub developments are focused on providing a wide range of exciting digital inclusion opportunities for residents and communities, including device and equipment loans, flexible co-working spaces, and a programme of training and development to boost digital skills, as well as working with our project partner, Accessibility Powys, to support people with additional needs.

About you:

  • Experience of managing projects successfully
  • Good knowledge of modern ICT equipment, applications, and packages in general use
  • Experience of working effectively in partnership with statutory, independent and voluntary agencies and volunteers
  • Excellent management and leadership qualities
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of project evaluation techniques, including stakeholder engagement and report writing.

What you will do:

  • Management of the project team and all aspects of the project until completion in December 2024.
  • Identification of target groups and stakeholder organisations who can support residents to achieve their goals safely and confidently online, creating a multi-agency digital inclusion network across Powys and in localities, as a route to long-term sustainability after the end of the project in December 2024.
  • Extensive stakeholder networking and engagement and marketing, to raise awareness and effectively promote the current resources available through the library service and Accessibility Powys
  • Organisation of training and support for Cultural Services staff, volunteers, and partner agency staff
  • Development of learning opportunities for residents
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the success of the facilities and activities undertaken
