BBC Studios is Britain's most awarded production company, and the world's biggest distributor of British content. Home to a wide range of original, diverse, well-loved and highly acclaimed TV productions such as Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and Gardeners World to name but a few, BBC Studios Factual Entertainment Unit in Bristol is looking for a Production Management Assistant /Diary Assistant who will provide administrative support to the Creative Director and Head of Production, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Department.

Main Responsibilities

The main role is to act as PMA/Diary Assistant to the Creative Director and Head of Production, setting up multiple and complex meetings and preparing all relevant documents and presentations in advance; ensuring that their diaries, itineraries and travel are managed in a proactive and efficient manner. You will be the main point of contact, dealing effectively and confidentially with all requests. You will also be required to provide professional and efficient administrative, secretarial and office management support including helping to prepare presentations, meeting agendas and taking minutes of confidential meetings. You will have the confidence and ability to take responsibility for running and delivering projects or tasks and communicating progress.

The role requires a highly proactive and forward thinking approach, and great attention to detail, ensuring that all relevant information is kept up-to-date, correct and available. The post holder will keep abreast of productions across Fact Ent and support them as and when required.

Are you the right candidate?

  • Significant experience of providing diary management and business support at Senior Management level in a complex and busy department
  • Able to communicate confidently with Senior Managers within the BBC or equivalent environment and to work collaboratively within a diverse team
  • Experience of managing busy and complex diaries
  • Experience of handling confidential information appropriately
  • Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of contacts
  • Experience of working in a pressurised and challenging environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative to plan ahead essential
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines
