Data Migration Lead

Fleetwave Project - Implementation of a fleet management solution across the entire company (3000 users)

Responsibilities

• To lead the migration of all data from client Legacy applications to a new fleet management solution (eg vehicles, assets, stock, purchasing transactions etc)
• ensure that target model definitions are documented to a sufficient standard
• ensure that source to target mapping are maintained and agreed with both the system integrator and business data owners
• ensure that configuration values and any associated mapping tables required are complete and confirmed by the business
• to develop and manage the extract and transform process
• ensure that data migration trackers are in place to manage both volumes and the overall status of each load cycle
• to work with third party project managers and business data team
• complete post load technical data validations prior to the business validation being completed
• work with and obtain formal business owner sign off both pre and post data load activities

Skills or Experience

• minimum of two end to end project data migration life cycles (mandatory)
• strong technical skills SQL (stored procedures etc)(mandatory)
• good communication skills (mandatory)
• experience of fleet management data migration projects (advantageous but not essential)
