ADA Software Engineer

World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit an ADA Software Engineer subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. The role will likely be required to be onsite, but it can be worked on a 4-day week basis.

Contract Duration: 12 Months initially and then ongoing.

Hourly Rate: £65.00ph (Umbrella)

ADA Software Engineer Job Description:

C2, FU and DPU Software delivers world-class Command and Control, Launch Management Systems and Data Processing Systems for multiple Maritime platforms and customers and for multiple Land platforms and customers.

Responsibilities:

The specific responsibilities of this role are:

• A Software Engineer capable of the design, development and review of Ada code for software based C2 (Command and Control) Systems.
• The role will involve design, development and test of mission critical and safety related software.
• The development languages will be ADA2012 (AdaCore).
• The specification of the design of C2 is message/event based and utilises a MASCOT/MADGE design and Booch components.

Skillset/experience required:

Knowledge of at least one of Ada, MASCOT/MADGE or AdaTest is essential

Knowledge of one of Dimensions or DOORS would be beneficial.

Experience of working in High Dependability systems would be beneficial.

Ability to work on site due to the classification of the data, access to the network.

SC clearance essential.
