CNC Millers and Turners opportunities with this small busy sub contract precision engineering company. The Roles For the turners we are seeking experienced CNC Turners - Setter/Programmer with Mazak , Mazatrol and fanuc experience producing low-volume batch work where each component is unique. You will be responsible for programming (online) setting, proving out and operating CNC lathes to ensure complex aerospace parts are produced accurately, efficiently and to tight tolerances. For the Millers we are looking for setter operators with metal machining experience on Haas (Fanuc) controls or Hurco machines. Key Responsibilities for all roles: Interpret complex technical/engineering drawings to develop machining strategies. Machine low-volume, high-precision aerospace parts from a range of exotic materials. Ensure all work meets tight tolerances and stringent quality standards. Carry out basic inspection to verify component conformity. Work collaboratively with engineers and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges. Job Profile As an Applications Engineer, you will support customers and internal teams by delivering hands-on CNC applications support, programming, prove-outs, demonstrations and training on advanced CNC Turning platforms. You must be confident with CNC Programming directly on the machine control, not purely offline, and comfortable supporting real production environments. You ll work remotely, travelling regularly across the UK & Ireland to support customers, demonstrations and installations. Duties Provide on-site applications support including machine set-up, prove-outs and optimisation Program, set and support CNC Turning machines with driven tooling / MillTurn capability Deliver customer and dealer demonstrations on sliding-head and mill-turn lathes Develop and refine machining strategies and CNC programs Produce accurate cycle time and process studies Support machine installations, handovers and operator training Provide remote technical support when required Support exhibitions, open days and technical events as needed Skills & Attributes Strong hands-on experience as a CNC Programmer Setter Operator / CNC Machinist / CNC Turner Proven background in CNC Turning, with MillTurn / driven tooling or Sliding Head experience Confident CNC Programming at the machine (control-based programming essential) Excellent understanding of tooling, cutting data, workholding and process optimisation Practical, solution-focused approach to machining challenges Comfortable dealing directly with customers and delivering training Able to work independently in a fully remote role Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly Hours of Work Monday to Friday, 37-hour week (theoretical) Fully remote role, working from home with regular UK & Ireland travel Flexibility required to meet customer and project needs Occasional overseas travel as experience develops Interested?
