Friendly Norwich team require small animal vet
Bright Leaf Recruitment Norwich, Norfolk
Are you a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role where you can truly make a difference? This practice is on the lookout for someone just like you - a dedicated vet ready to join a friendly, talented team and help deliver exceptional care to the pets and people of Norwich. They are proud to be a community-focused practice that values teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous growth. The culture is built on support, trust, and shared knowledge - they work closely together to ensure our patients receive the very best care, and that the team feels confident, empowered, and appreciated. Based in the vibrant and historic city of Norwich, the practice is perfectly placed to offer you the best of both city life and countryside charm. Just five minutes from the city centre, fifteen minutes from the picturesque Norfolk Broads, and only half an hour from the stunning coastline, you'll find everything you need to enjoy a well-balanced lifestyle. Whether you're into shopping, nature walks, or exploring beautiful architecture, Norwich has it all. This Norwich practice is part of a group of three surgeries in the city. Each is individually owned and run, but they do work together and maintain a strong independent culture with close-knit teams and a shared commitment to clinical freedom and high standards. This role is primarily based at one site though occasional flexibility to support the other sites may be needed from time to time. You'll be joining a team of five vets - including a recent graduate and others with special interests in orthopedics, surgery, and imaging - alongside six dedicated nurses, veterinary care assistants, and an excellent admin team. They're a well-equipped, purpose-built practice, and are proud to support your clinical development with guidance from the experienced regional team. For the right candidate, there could be future leadership opportunities and even the potential to explore partnership as part of long-term growth plans. They run 15-minute vaccination slots, 30-minute clinical appointments, and are fully stocked with orthopaedic kits. Wellbeing is a priority - they have mental health first aiders on site, follow the BVA Good Veterinary Workplace Guide, and hold regular clinical meetings. You'll receive a generous CPD allowance, with funding available for certificates, and they actively encourage you to pursue your professional interests. They offer 5.6 weeks of holiday initially, increasing to 6.6 weeks after two years, plus a paid day off for your birthday. Other benefits include paid RCVS and VDS memberships, a contributory pension, visa sponsorship and potential relocation support, and access to a dedicated wellbeing and reward hub.
