The company provides M&E services to a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors including commercial, healthcare leisure and residential developments. You will be working within an established M&E estimating team in preparing mechanical estimates up to 6M so previous experience is essential As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical building services projects. You will work closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams to secure new business and ensure projects are priced effectively. You will be involved in tender reviews, take-offs, cost planning and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value. The Mechanical Estimator will have the following duties and responsibilities: Preparing accurate and competitive mechanical services tenders including HVAC, pipework, plumbing and plant for a range of building services projects using estimating software packages. Carry out take-offs and material quantity calculations. Analyse tender documents, drawings and specifications. Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission. Maintaining and updating cost databases to reflect current market trends, material prices and labour costs ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
