EC&I Systems Engineer Location: Teesside / Middlesbrough Working Pattern: Primarily office and site-based, with UK travel Contract: Permanent The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced EC&I Systems Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering electrical, control, instrumentation and automation solutions across the process industries. Carry out system integration, panel specification and interface definition across electrical, instrumentation and IT/OT networks. Plan and execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, loop checks and plant start-up activities. Lead fault-finding, optimisation and troubleshooting on customer sites. Apply relevant functional safety and industry standards, including IEC 61511/61508 and ATEX/DSEAR. Contribute to HAZOP/LOPA activities and wider engineering reviews. Estimate and plan engineering tasks, provide progress updates and support change control. Where required, contribute technical input to proposals and customer discussions. Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and technical documentation. About You We are looking for someone with: A degree or equivalent experience in EC&I, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control & Automation or a related discipline. Approximately 5-10+ years' relevant experience within control systems, automation or EC&I engineering. Experience within process industries, such as chemical, petrochemical, energy, pharmaceutical, food or similar environments. Hands-on experience with at least one major PLC/DCS platform, ideally Siemens or Rockwell. Strong understanding of EC&I engineering deliverables and the full project lifecycle. Proven experience of commissioning, FAT/SAT and start-up within live plant environments. Working knowledge of relevant engineering and safety standards. The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a small engineering team. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK. The right to work in the UK. Desirable Experience The following would be advantageous: Experience across multiple PLC/DCS vendor platforms. Knowledge of OT networking and cybersecurity. Panel design/specification experience. Familiarity with EPLAN or AutoCAD. Exposure to functional safety activities, including SIL determination and verification. Help drive plant reliability at one of the region s major manufacturing sites Wolviston Management Services is proud to be working in partnership with Tioxide to recruit an Electrical & Instrument Engineer for their Greatham site. This is a key technical role where you will help maximise plant availability by improving reliability performance and providing specialist electrical and instrumentation engineering input into troubleshooting, problem solving, planned maintenance, outages and continuous improvement activity. You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Technical teams, using your E&I knowledge to support safe, reliable and efficient plant performance across a complex upper-tier COMAH manufacturing environment. What you ll be doing You will: Provide technical E&I engineering support to plant teams, including troubleshooting and problem solving. Specify plant electrical equipment and instrument repairs, ensuring work is planned, approved and completed to the required standard. Support planned maintenance events and outages, including emergent technical issues and work specification. Identify and deliver reliability improvement opportunities to improve plant availability, cost performance and product quality. Provide E&I input into safety reviews, risk assessments, safety committees and incident investigations. Maintain and update the area E&I life plan, including recommendations for CAPEX replacement and repair. Ensure adherence to site engineering standards and promote a right-first-time approach. Assess plant modifications to help manage engineering risk linked to technology, equipment, operating and maintenance methods. Act as Duty E&I Manager and support, or work towards, Management of Change and Inhibits signatory responsibilities. Build strong working relationships and influence technical contributors across Production, Engineering and Technical functions. Electrical Quality Inspector Sellafield, Seascale Permanent, full time Competitive salary + Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits NG Bailey have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Quality Inspector to work on the Sellafield site near Seascale (CA20 1PG) . This is a full-time permanent position based onsite at Sellafield . The project has options in place for applicants who are working away from home through the week and generous uplifts and allowances are offered to accommodate this. Main Responsibilities: Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan). Liaise with client's representative for conducting of day to day inspection during the construction activities. Ensure all MEP systems to be installed are covered by an inspection and test plan, and that production, approval and completion is tracked. Monitor progress of installations and carry out surveillance of systems to ensure installation is in accordance with specification and standards. Assist QC manager and Engineers in executing their responsibilities. Maintaining LTQR's as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection. Work with supply chain manager to review quality of our supply chain, ensuring sub contractors understand and follow NGB internal procedures. Coordinate with sub contractors when information is required from them for any documentation. Conduct Supply Audits as required, some travel may be required to do this. Ensure relevant teams hold the necessary qualifications and competencies for which they are employed. Ensure any on site training requirements are taken. Carry out toolbox talks and deliver presentations where required. Undertake regular audits highlighting and escalating any non conformances or defects. Identify and escalate any project risks. Provide project reviews and reports where appropriate. Requirements: Qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/instrumentation, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience). Electrical Inspection & Testing 2391 qualification Substantial experience of Quality Control during the installation, inspection and testing of electrical and instrument systems associated with process plant during construction and operation.
