Starling Bank
Description Starling is the UK's first and leading digital bank on a mission to fix banking! Our vision is fast technology, fair service, and honest values. All at the tap of a phone, all the time. We are about giving customers a new way to spend, save and manage their money while taking better care of the planet, which has seen us become a multi-award-winning bank that now employs over 3,000 people across our offices in London, Cardiff, Dublin, Southampton, and Manchester. Our journey started in 2014, and since then we have surpassed 3.5 million accounts with 350,000 business customers. We are a fully licensed UK bank, but at heart, we are a tech-first company, enabling our platform to deliver brilliant products. Our technologists are at the very heart of Starling and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that is all about building things, creating new stuff, and disruptive technology that keeps us on the cutting edge of fintech. We operate a flat structure to empower you to make decisions regardless of what your primary responsibilities may be; innovation and collaboration will be at the core of everything you do. Help is never far away in our open culture, you will find support in your team and from across the business, we are in this together! The way to thrive and shine within Starling is to be a self-driven individual and take full ownership of everything around you: from building things, designing, discovering, to sharing knowledge with your colleagues and making sure all processes are efficient and productive to deliver the best possible results for our customers. Our purpose is underpinned by five Starling values: Listen, Keep It Simple, Do The Right Thing, Own It, and Aim For Greatness. Lead Technical Program Manager, AI Platform
wayve
The role As the Lead Technical Program Manager for AI Platform at Wayve, you'll build and lead the technical program management function for our AI Platform org - the data and compute infrastructure, model-development workflow tooling, training technology, compute management, and embedded / inference optimisation that get Wayve's models trained, iterated, and deployed onto the vehicle. This is the platform the whole company builds on. You'll be the delivery partner to engineering leadership across AI Platform, driving predictable, high-leverage delivery of the systems that determine how fast Wayve can train and ship models. You'll lead flagship programs yourself while supporting and coaching a small, high-impact TPM team. Your impact is measured in developer velocity, compute efficiency and cost, training and inference performance, and how reliably the platform lands. A successful TPM leader is a force multiplier - helping teams move faster, more effectively, and with purpose. Key Responsibilities Lead the function: Build, coach, and grow a small TPM team; hire to fill gaps and raise the bar. Own platform delivery: Partner with AI Platform leadership on planning, prioritisation, and execution across the platform roadmap - data & compute infra, dev tooling, training tech, compute management, and embedded / inference. Trusted partner for Engineering: You are a leader in the org. You will maintain the partnership with Engineering leaders to land big outcomes, pushing teams to land impact with high leverage and hold leaders to account. Drive flagship programs directly: Data & compute infrastructure, model-development workflow and tooling, training technology, compute management, and embedded / inference optimisation. Establish scalable practices: Planning cadences, governance, KPIs and dashboards, escalations and operational reviews. Align cross-functionally: Work with ML / research, infrastructure, embedded / on-vehicle, and engineering teams (and cloud / vendor partners); manage dependencies, risk, and trade-offs. Connect to outcomes and represent AI Platform: Tie delivery to developer velocity, compute efficiency and cost, and training / inference performance, and represent AI Platform in company-level reviews. About you In order to set you up for success as a Lead Technical Program Manager, AI Platform at Wayve, we're looking for the following skills and experience. Essential 8+ years in platform / infrastructure: Deep, hands-on experience delivering platform or infrastructure programs as a technical program manager - compute, ML infra, developer tooling, training or inference systems - including people and process leadership. You've built or scaled a program function and you get things done with ownership and a bias for action. People leadership: You build, coach, and grow high-performing teams, and raise the bar on the craft. Highly technical: Credible with engineers across ML infrastructure, compute, and embedded systems, even though you won't write production code. A genuinely technical TPM who can go deep with platform and systems engineers. Strong understanding of Machine Learning, GPUs, and the training and inference of large (500M-20B+ parameter) models, plus the compute and orchestration that support them. Embedded / on-vehicle systems experience - inference optimisation, model deployment to constrained edge / embedded compute, and the hardware-software trade-offs involved. Familiar with compute management and ML platform tooling - e.g. Kubernetes, Ray, Flyte, Docker, cloud (Azure), Python - and model-development / experiment workflow tooling. Proficient with AI Agents to accelerate execution: e.g. Cursor, Claude, Codex. Stays neutral and adapts under pressure: Effective in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; you flex your style and bring structure without slowing delivery. Systems thinking: You reason about how the parts of a complex platform / systems stack fit together, and how a change in one area ripples into others. Product-minded: You focus on outcomes and the people your programs serve - prioritising by impact and defining what good looks like, not just tracking activity. Exceptional cross-functional leadership: You align and influence across ML / research, infrastructure, embedded, and engineering without relying on authority. Strategic & business impact: You link platform investment to measurable outcomes - developer velocity, compute efficiency, cost, and model performance. Clear, data-driven communicator: You set direction with clarity and steer with the right metrics. Growth mindset: Open to feedback and always looking to improve. Desirable Working experience with a large-scale ML / compute platform used by 100s of engineers and researchers. Embedded / edge inference, on-device model optimisation, or hardware-aware ML experience. Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or another large-scale ML / infrastructure program. An engineering or computer science degree, or experience working as an engineer. This is a full-time role based in our office in London. At Wayve we want the best of all worlds, so we operate a hybrid working policy that combines time together in our offices and workshops to fuel innovation, culture, relationships and learning, with time spent working from home.

We Love Alfa
Lead Software Developer
We Love Alfa
Architect the platform that runs home life. We're hiring a Lead Backend Engineer to design a global, agentic-first platform for moving and home life. Fast enough for live voice. Reliable enough for agents to act on their own. 4M+ home movers a year in the UK 28M UK households to run $1T+ global market for home services We are looking for a truly world-class engineer who has seen what great looks like and can take ownership to build the foundations for a global agentic marketplace. The opportunity: OpenClaw meets Amazon, for your home. Moving is the second most stressful thing most people do, and the admin never stops. Jay is the personal AI that takes it off your plate. It sets the household up: energy, broadband, water, council tax, insurance and so much more, then keeps it running. It tracks renewals, finds the next deal, and grows with the customer from first rental to first mortgage, with credit and higher-value financial products next. People get back their time, save money and their peace of mind. Underneath Jay is the platform you'd architect. One side plugs into the property industry: letting agents, CRMs like Alto, deposit schemes, partners like OpenRent and IKEA UK, and the systems that already know someone is moving. The other plugs into hundreds of suppliers across every category a home needs. In the middle, one entity model and one API turn a move into services set up, switched and paid for, Stripe-like. UK first, then the world. Nobody has rebuilt this industry for AI. The comparison sites and incumbents still run on forms and call queues. The backend is where that changes. What you'll own: three things, end to end. The architecture. Households, properties, partners, suppliers and how they relate. State machines every order runs on, clear enough for an agent to act on. Contracts between domains, data, queues, infrastructure. You design it and you build it. Speed and reliability, designed in. Live voice needs sub-second reads and a platform that doesn't need babysitting. Latency budgets per domain, observability shipped with the feature, rollback rehearsed every release, small changes to production daily. You'll move live systems onto a modern stack without dropping anything. Agents as first-class customers. Permissioned access for Jay and partner agents to read and act, with idempotency, audit trails and a hard line around money. Config over code, so commercial teams change pricing without a deploy. How you work becomes how engineering works. How we build: a lead owns the outcome. Whatever stands between us and it is yours to clear. How we get there is written down, twelve principles in three parts: Think: Customer obsessed AI native Thinks big Mission before self Build: Master of craft Bias for action Delivers outcomes Builds out loud Together: True ownership Trustworthy Seeks and gives feedback Inspiring to work with Who thrives here: you should apply if You're a systems thinker first. How the parts interact, where failure hides, what breaks at ten times the volume. You've architected real systems end to end, more than once, and run them in production at the scale of millions of users. You take the edges seriously. Retries, idempotency, backpressure, the message that arrives twice. You raise everyone around you. The standard goes up on work you never touch. You are great to work with and will make work more joyful. You're AI-native at the frontier, and you set the practice for the team, from planning to evals. You're strong in TypeScript, productive in whatever a problem needs within days, and happiest thinking out loud with the team. Bonus points You've led a team, or worked in UK property or utilities. You've moved house in the UK and it made you angry. We want the specific story. You already have ideas about how it should work. Bring them to the first call. The team and the stack: who you'd build with. We're a B Corp, so the values are real. We're FCA regulated, so doing things properly in a regulated industry is part of how we build. And we're obsessed with the customer, which is how we hold 4.9 on both Trustpilot and Google. The stack: TypeScript on the backend, Python and FastAPI for Jay, Next.js up front, AWS underneath, Claude Code woven through how we build. You won't have used all of it, and you'll change some of it. The details Location: London, a few days a week in the office (Hybrid) Pay: Cash competitive, plus equity Hours: Work hard, play hard. Crunch time means late nights and weekends. In general, great work-life balance. Reports to: Head of AI and Engineering Right to work: UK right to work required

Business Systems Lead
Rowden
Business Systems Lead Department: Engineering Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Bristol, UK Reporting To: Chris Gumbleton Compensation: £60,000 - £70,000 / year Description We're building the UK's next generation engineering powerhouse, providing critical technology that strengthens national security and resilience. We specialise in turning advances in sensing, AI, and communications into operational capability for the edge, where connectivity may be degraded or denied. Our work focuses on accelerating the deployment of technology, improving decision making for frontline teams, and protecting people and critical assets in demanding environments. Headquartered in Bristol, Rowden employs around 200 people and operates over 20,000 square feet of engineering and manufacturing facilities. We have a growing international footprint and are one of Europe's fastest-growing engineering businesses. About the role This is an exciting opportunity to shape the business systems that support Rowden's growth. Working within the Platforms team, you will own our ERP and broader business application roadmap. Installation and technical support sit with IT. Your remit is the layers above that: processes, data, integrations, and user experience. You will own the ERP end to end: configuration, release and update cycles, feature uplift, master data, and the processes running through it. You'll understand how the system is configured and how it delivers value across the business. You will drive the adoption of agentic AI throughout the business functions (finance, supply chain, manufacturing, projects, people etc), leveraging the common data platform our ERP provides and extending it where necessary. You will be a human centric systems thinker that is passionate about using technology to solve business problems. You do not need to be a developer, but you do need to be comfortable building. You should be technical enough to write an API integration, automate workflows, and build low code applications that improve business processes. Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance. More information about security clearance is available here: Key areas of responsibility As Business Systems Lead at Rowden, you will: Own the ERP: configuration, release and update cycles, feature uplift, master data, and the end-to-end processes that run through it. Own the wider application estate and integration layer: how each system is used, how they integrate, and how they deliver value. Define and maintain the business application roadmap: build investment cases that quantify cost, risk, and return. Own adoption, not just deployment: plan and run change management that makes new systems and processes stick. Hunt for simplification: map how work really happens, remove steps, and automate what remains. Drive agentic AI adoption in business process: identify where agents deliver real value, prototype it, and take it into production with proper controls. Build: write API integrations and develop applications, including low-code tools such as Power Apps, where they solve a problem faster than a purchased product would. Own the user experience of our systems: treat internal users as customers, measure their friction, and design it out. Key skills, experience and behaviours We don't expect anyone to be a 10/10 in every area, and you don't need to tick every single bullet point to apply. What follows is a list of the skills and experience that we think matter most for this role. Different strengths are welcome, and we recognise that people grow into roles like this - don't let this list put you off! Significant hands on experience owning or leading a Tier 1 ERP - with the scars to prove it. Experience owning a portfolio of business applications, not just a single system. Practical integration skills: REST APIs, low-code apps, workflows etc. Real interest and working knowledge of agentic AI, with a view on where it helps and where it doesn't. Track record of process simplification and automation with results you can describe. Systems thinking: you can hold the whole organisation in view and see how a change in one function affects another. About You You are curious about how work actually happens, and you go and look rather than asking for a document. You are excited (and potentially scared) by the power of agentic AI. You are relentless about making things simpler. Complexity offends you. You are a strong communicator and can elicit requirements well. You are platform-agnostic. This is not a role for someone whose entire career has been inside the Microsoft stack. You will need to pick the right tool rather than the familiar one. You care how software feels to use, and you notice when people are quietly working around a system. You explain technical trade-offs to non-technical people without condescension. Working at Rowden We are committed to building a flexible, inclusive, and enabling company. Our aim is to create a diverse team of talented people with unique skills, experience, and backgrounds, so please apply and come as you are! We also recognise the importance of flexible working and support this wherever we can. We typically operate a flexible, hybrid working model, with an average 3 days in the office each week (dependent on the role). We welcome the opportunity to discuss flexibility, part time working requirements and/or workplace adjustments with all our applicants. Rowden is a Disability Confident Committed company, and we actively encourage people with disabilities and health conditions to apply for our roles. Please let us know your requirements early on so that we can make sure you have everything you need up front to help make the recruitment process and experience as easy as possible. Finally, if you feel that you don't meet all the criteria included above but have transferable skills and relevant experience, we'd still love to hear from you!
