The estimator will compile estimates, in line with best practice, by assessing the materials, labour and equipment that will be required including the capture of costs for subcontracts, services and materials that are obtained from subcontractors and suppliers by the supply chain team. The Estimating team produce estimates based on various information sources including bills of quantities, schedules, drawings, specifications and other tender documents provided by the client. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Deliver estimates using the most appropriate estimating methodology as directed Work in accordance with the estimating plan Deliver estimate in line with the estimating structure e.g., Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Adjust future estimates and norms based on project LFE and feedback as directed Development of base line bottom-up and top-down estimates to meet project control / forecasting / finance requirements. Production of independent cost and schedule estimates in support of programme, inclusive of the analysis of data, utilising various estimating methodologies, tools and techniques and writing of reports. Produce estimates using appropriate estimating techniques. Selection of appropriate estimating approach and methods, documenting and maintaining the basis of estimate (BoE) Personal functional development through Awareness-Practitioner-Expert progression Assess and manage risk and opportunity and support negotiations as part of the pricing process.
